Community Foundation Awards $154,553 in Spring Grants

The Community Foundation of Central Wisconsin has distributed $154,553 in grants to 34 organizations in Portage and Waushara counties.

The grants are aimed at enhancing the communities now and for future generations, the Wausau Daily Herald reports.

The recipients include: Portage County Veterans Park Water Foundation Replacement The Playhouse Theatre Group Hear us Roar! Friends of 2713 Security improvements Riverfront Jazz Festival Senior Population Lunch and LearnsCentral Wisconsin Symphony Orchestra Camp Sands Learning Center & Preschool Waushara County Health Department ExtricationUnity Recovery Services Sleepingwater Point Volunteer Fire Department One-time housing assistance The Salvation Army of Stevens Point Meals on Wheels Central Rivers Farmshed Farm Fresh and Free (Farming for the Future)
